A drunk driver killed an innocent young man and seriously injured his brother over a year and a half ago. The drunk driver, who had a blood alcohol level over two times the legal limit in Oregon, is scheduled to plead guilty to the crimes August 8, 2006. It will be one step forward for the victims' family.
Drunk drivers needlessly cause serious injuries and wrongful death in Oregon. It is illegal to drive in Oregon with a blood alcohol content greater than .08. Many individuals lose judgment when they drink and get behind the wheel. Help prevent others from being needlessly injured or killed by: (1) not drinking and driving, (2) designating a driver to stay sober and drive others home safely, (3) helping get friends home safely who have had too much to drink, and (4) be a responsible host if you are having a party.
