DUII Driver Arrested After Injuring Cyclist

The driver who is suspected of hitting and injuring a cyclist has been arrested. The driver was suspected of being drunk when he hit and injured the cyclist. The injured cyclist, Gerald Marvin, 24, of Seattle suffered serious injuries when the drunk driver NWerved out of his lane on U.S. 30.

The Seattle to Portland (STP) bike ride is an annual event that lawyers in our firm have participated in -- unfortunately with far worse weather than this weekend. About 9,000 riders pedaled the 202 miles to Portland this year. Organizers of the 28th annual event said there have been a "small handful" of minor collisions with cars in the past. No one could recall a hit-and-run that left a rider seriously hurt.
